The Life I Live Lyrics: Sitting in my chair I'm thinking / Thinking of the crowd I'm in with / Thinking of the music I make / And all the things I don't wanna give / Well, I take everything I want.

It could be a spoonful of diamonds Could be a spoonful of gold Just a little spoon of your precious love Satisfies my soul Men lies about it Some of them cries about it Some of them dies about it Ev'rything fights about a spoonful That spoon, that spoon, that spoonful.

Q65 were a 60's group from The Hague, in Holland who built a very large and fiercely loyal following. The 5 original members 1st formed in and quickly hit the charts in February, , with their 1st single, "You're The Victor"/5(13).

"I'm a Man" is the Bo Diddley classic--not a Yardbirds original as another reviewer states, although the Q65 version is obviously based on the Yardbirds' cover. A nice fuzzy bassline and solid harmonica work might actually make this better than the Yardbirds' take, though still not in league with Diddley's/5(8).

Q' Q'65 publicity shot, late L-R: Peter Vink, Frank Nuyens, Jay Baar, Joop Roelofs, Willem Bieler. The Den Haag (The Hague) group Q'65 played raw garage-style music and were often compared to their English counterparts, The Pretty fenrikkargturn.xyzinfo were renowned for their ramshackle English lyrics and funny pronunciation of singer Wim Bieler.

Having been into Garage Punk, 60s R &B, Freak Beat and Psych for ages, I can’t rate this collection highly enough. Picked up ‘Revolution’ some years ago, having read about it in an ancient ‘Who Put the Bomp’, on the Dutch music scene of the 60s and these guys can hold their heads high with the big boys from the States and UK.
